Position Description Position Overview The Sr.

Accountant/Manager will be primarily responsible for executing and managing all necessary tasks and responsibilities to ensure an accurate and timely preparation of the financials and reporting.

This person must be a team player and able to collaborate with all areas of the organization and work effectively with our Jr.

Accountant.

Success is defined as being able to consistently close the books and prepare a monthly Balance Sheet, P& L and Cash Flow statements by the 15th of the month (by end of first quarter of 2021).

This person will also be responsible for assisting the CFO in preparing the monthly reporting package and Board deck for quarterly meetings.

The candidate must have strong GAAP knowledge, a CPA is preferred, have considerable experience with QuickBooks On-line (QBOL).

They must have extensive experience reconciling key GL accounts and be able to establish a strong control environment for the organization.

The Company recently raised growth capital and is in expansion mode.

Thus, we are looking for someone willing to work hard in a start-up like environment to help us establish a first-rate financial organization that will support the business as it scales.

The Sr.

Accountant/Manger should have the potential to grow into a Controller role in 2-4 years depending on current experience level.

The ideal candidate can think on their feet, is a quick study, displays intellectual curiosity, and is willing to do what is needed to get the job done.

Specific Responsibilities Assist CFO in creating logical, detailed close cycles and manages the close process accordingly.

Document and refine the accounting process in the form of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Monitors and assists with all daily / weekly / monthly accounting activities as defined by the CFO.

Leads and manages the day to day activities of the Jr.

Accountant Imports banking, payroll, and billing information from proprietary systems via APIs into QBOL and validating receipt (accuracy and completeness of data) and downloading information into Excel as required Completes all Journal Entries (JEs) in concert with the Jr.

Accountant that result in an accurate, complete, and timely recording of the business activities of the business.

Monitors, reviews, and audits all daily reconciliations to validate the accuracy of the information flowing into the financial system Ensures proper control measures are in place to safeguard the assets and information of the organization Prepares, reviews, and analyzes financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness Is primarily responsible for maintaining the organizations financials in accordance with GAAP and ensures all bank and other loan provisions and covenants are properly administered Performs ad hoc analysis and projects as requested Plays a vital part in the company”s financial management which includes all account reconciliations and reporting to necessary parties as required to ensure the integrity of the books of record Reviews and audits all payment activities including A/P, Payroll, and Commission payments to ensure accurate and proper use of organization resources Establishes an expense management policy and procedures for associates to use in reporting business expenses Creates a business credit card account with AMEX or Visa/Mastercard for making purchases on behalf of the business.

Ensures proper control and usage of cards and accurate reporting of expenses incurred using the cards.

Prepares all insurance policy renewal applications and assists CFO in negotiation of policies and terms Records and monitors all company fixed assets to maintain location and value information while properly depreciating according to GAAP procedures Prepares preliminary financials for review by the CFO by the seventh business day of the month, allowing time for final adjustments and preparation of financial statements prior to the 15th of the month.

Assists with gather and reporting on business KPIs Assists with preparing forecasts and budgets as required by the CFO Serves as key liaison with outside accountants, tax advisors and third-party audit / due diligence persons Required Qualifications for Sr.

Accountant/Manager Bachelor”s degree in Accounting or Finance 4-6 years of progressive audit and accounting experience with a portion in a supervisory role Required knowledge of QuickBooks On-line, Microsoft Office Suite, ADP Run Payroll, and other applications related to finance and accounting Thorough knowledge of U.S.

GAAP Must be an effective communicator, and have established skills in accuracy, organization, and working in a high-volume environment Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results Knowledge of employee relationship building and performance management techniques Preferred Qualifications for Sr.
