Simon Roofing, an industry leader, is seeking an energetic, responsible individual to join our growing organization.

In this trainee position, you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures.

A Sales Trainee participates in Simon Roofing’s national sales training program designed to provide candidates who possess limited sales experience, including recent college graduates, with the tools necessary for a sales career.

Candidates will receive the training, coaching, and hands-on experience necessary to become a successful national account sales professional at Simon Roofing.

What you’ll do: Learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routines and procedures of a National Accounts Rep.

Participate in the day-to-day operations of the national sales division and learn first-hand knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to be a successful sales professional at Simon Roofing.

You will provide direct support to the National Sales Managers in developing national account prospects and servicing existing customers with a focus on driving roofing service sales in retail chains.

The trainee will also organize and conduct programs and communications aimed at validating Simon Roofing’s value propositions for national account prospects.

Completing tasks in a professional and timely manner which helps show the individual customers their importance and our commitment to them.

Increases business by scouting new/potential clients Cold Call qualify potential prospects and set up appointments.

What you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Communications, Business, Sales, or Marketing (REQUIRED).

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

Strong interest in a challenging and rewarding career.

The desire and availability to travel.

Ability to do extensive research on the Internet.

Team-oriented, energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated and a good work ethic.

Strong skills in listening, organization, and sales closing.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Ability and willingness to climb ladders to rooftops to create an evaluation or walk the roof with a client (on an as needed basis, and once the training has been successfully completed).
