Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital is looking to add a Medical Technologist to its talented team of caregivers. On this team, you will perform and interpret tests through laboratory testing and will correlate abnormal laboratory data with pathological states and decide the validity of test results. If additional testing is needed, you will do so through monitoring and verifying quality controls. As a Medical Technologist on this team, you will:
-Follow lab procedures for specimen handling, processing, and analysis while reporting and maintaining patient results.
– Perform maintenance and clean instruments and equipment.
– Document all corrective actions taken when tests deviate from performance specifications.
– Identify and report any problems that may affect test performance and results.
– Recommend solutions and improvements in the laboratory.
The Ideal future caregiver is someone who:
· -Has a qualifying Associates degree in chemical, physical biological science, or Medical Technolgy.
· -Must be licensed in the State of Florida at the Technologist Levels.
· -Works well in a supportive, collaborative, and fast-paced environment.
· -Is compassionate, adaptable, and works well in a close-knit team.
· -Is motivated to learn, has critical thinking skills, and has decisive judgement.
· -Has prior molecular laboratory experience or microbiology laboratory experience.
