Housekeeper (Plymouth, MA)

Classification— Not exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Salary grade/level/family/range—the average income for this position last year was $12.60/h we offer highly competitive pay at $15.50-17.50/h for highly motivated and professional applicants.

Reports to— General Manager of M2TMC Bryan Chasko and General Manager on-site at the contracted hotel’s location Date—July 6, 2021 Summary/objective— The general overview of this position is to focus on meeting our clients’ goals regarding cleanliness, professional presentation, and expected comfort of their guests.

It is the goal of our organization to establish and maintain a professional standard so that our clients and their guests can come to expect a high standard of service.

Essential functions—
• Servicing, cleaning, and resupplying restrooms
• Cleaning floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming rooms
• Gathering, emptying, and replacing trash bags
• Reporting broken and/or missing items in rooms
• Stripping and remaking beds
• Occasionally the need may arise for additional support in the laundry requiring the ability clean, fold, and shelve linens Due to COVID-19, sanitizing rooms and surfaces is of utmost importance to make sure our clients’ guests have a safe stay.

Competencies/required skills—
• Customer and Personal Service Skills: the ability to maintain a professional working attitude while interacting with customers, client employees and potential clients.

• Detail Orientation: the position requires exactness in execution to maintain standards of cleanliness for all guests
• Time Management: this is a fast-paced environment and the individual will be required to maintain a workload in order to meet our clients’ needs
• Cleanliness: as the position requires the ability to clean and order a room a strong candidate will be able to consistently display cleanliness standards in their work Availability—
• Must be able to work Thursday-Monday 9AM-4PM Work environment—
• The work will be done primarily alone after the initial training
• Conditioned space regardless of external temperatures
• Noise level could be high depending on how many people are in the building Due to COVID-19, employees are required to follow state guidelines in the donning and doffing of PPE (personal protective equipment) Physical demands— All candidates must be able to:
• Regularly lift 20 pounds
• Perform repetitive tasks without risk of injury
• Stand and/or sit for a prolonged period of time, as well as kneel, squat and twist
• Move equipment and carts to working location and back to the storage area Position type and expected hours of work—
• Full time
• Salary yearly total $32,240 (This number is dependent upon applicant working 40 hours a week and 52 weeks a year, including paid time off (PTO) in the 52 weeks a year) Travel—
• Must be able to reliably commute to client location regardless of weather conditions Required education and experience—
• Some experience working or cleaning a facility or home Preferred education and experience—
• Preferred high school diploma or GED
• Several years working within the industry or other comparable positions Additional eligibility qualifications—
• Past performance with cleaning of such scale
• Able to work well with others while performing duties
