Senior C/C++ embedded systems developer that understands Software/Hardware co-design, Distributed systems design, and Software / Computer Architecture. Responsible for execution of complex designs in large teams to ensure proper system functionality. The Software Engineer will develop, modify and maintain customized or standardized applications using software engineering best practices and standards, and participate in the full life-cycle of software development.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Requirements development, modeling and design, application development, unit to CSCI testing, integration, formal system testing, release, installation, and maintenance
• Provide technical expertise and leadership during system integration and test activities as well as during troubleshooting or deviations in expected performance seen during operation and test
• Interface, on occasion, with the external customers where excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are required
• Demonstrate attention to detail in preparing design packages for NSA Certification
• Work collaboratively with cross functional discipline teams
• At minimum an active DoD Interim Secret or Secret level clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain a DoD full Secret level clearance with program access and no dual citizenship
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Software or Information Security Systems Engineering (or similar technical discipline)
• 9+ years of related software and firmware development experience (or 7+ years with a Master’s degree)
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in embedded software development
• Experience in ARM MPCore family of multicore processors
• Extensive experience with NSA Type 1 End Cryptographic Units
• Experience with documenting NSA Type 1 Encryption, NIAP Common Criteria, TEMPEST, and NIST requirements
• Experience with interfacing with the NSA for Crypto certification process and independent validation and verification (IV&V)
• Familiarity with high speed crypto SW used to interface with Denali FPGA
• Familiarity with Crypto Key loading and deletion
Security Clearance:
• This position requires the candidate to possess an active DoD Secret security clearance. In order to obtain a clearance you need to be a US Citizen, show proof of citizenship, and no dual citizenship.
