Our IT department’s mission is to provide technology leadership that advances Mount Sinai’s mission, by delivering reliable, secure, and effective solutions with high quality customer service.

The Network Engineering Manager coordinates the scheduling, delivery, testing and implementation steps associated with new hardware and software for servers, asset management, telephone systems, security and network components.

Develops and implements documentation, processes and procedures for Network Engineering Team that complies with documentation guidelines.

Researches the latest developments in voice and data infrastructure technologies.  Recommends changes and implements hardware and software solutions to meet the needs of MSMC.

Communicates effectively with hospital and IT staff for problem resolution and completion of projects to meet project timeline. Effectively communicates at the highest level of the organization.

Evaluates, manages, and resolves broad and complex infrastructure issues. Develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, client satisfaction goals and Service Level Agreement.

Demonstrates advanced technical knowledge and understanding of the various computer systems, telephone systems, network components, high availability, capacity planning and DR / Business Continuity planning.

Demonstrates the ability to create, initiate and integrate new concepts and practices to improve customer service.

Manages maintenance contracts for networking systems to ensure cost effective maintenance coverage on all systems.

Provides advanced technical guidance in the development of network architecture and troubleshooting.

Maintains an effective and environmentally sound computing and voice communications environment. Transitions existing space to an effective voice and data Network Operations Center.

Proactively analyzes software licensing, server traffic and performance to maintain high availability and optimum system response times.

Architects, implements, and manages a performance and capacity based enterprise network.

Qualifications
10+ years of Technical Network Management. Management and Administration of Voice, VoIP and Data Networks.

BS in Electrical, Computer, or Network Engineering. MS in Engineering or MBA preferred.

Graduated from accredited school of practical nursing.

Current Practical Nursing Licensure in State of Florida.

BLS and CPR required.

1-year clinical experience preferred.
