Talend Developer


This is a Full-time position in Tampa, FL posted October 8, 2021.

What You Will Be Doing:As a Penske Talend Developer (Associate Data Engineer II) you will perform project leadership role to complete high-level and technical systems design for new and enhanced systems.

You will be performing software testing as well as providing support to end users for a diverse range of applications.

Qualified candidates for this role will have experience working with Talend and AWS.

This position can sit out of our corporate headquarters in Reading, PA or our IT Center in Tampa, FL.

Penske Responsibilities:Formulate and define system scope and objectives as well as preparing detailed specifications.

Prepare software test plansProvide technical support to end usersConduct discussions and/or meetings with end usersPrepare cost estimatesPerform project leadership role to complete high-level and technical systems design for new and enhanced systemsProvide technical leadership and complete complex system level assignments.Penske Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in software development and support in a Web environment.3
– 5 years of hands-on J2EE based design and development experience3
– 5 years of experience with distributed database environments and related database concepts3+ years of Experience in Analytical projects, Data ModelingExperience with writing complex SQL in DB2/OracleExperience with RAD 6, Websphere 5.1/6Experience in EJB technologyFull lifecycle development experience in a large complex transactional processing environmentSolid understanding of Servlets and JSP using the struts frameworkUnderstanding of the Spring frameworkProficient in Data Modeling, analytics and data governanceKnowledge and experience with: AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Spring Cloud Data Flow, Gemfire, GreenPlum, and PythonRegular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are requiredPhysical Requirements:-The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
