There are three major things that differentiate COMPANY from other candy retailers. Second is the ambiance ‘” full of bright colors, loud music, and lighthearted rebellion. Third is the people ‘” passionate, optimistic, and energetic.

COMPANY is a growing candy retailer looking for a chief operating officer (COO) to be the right hand of our thriving CEO. Our ideal candidate is a great leader of people with a strong finance/ retail background. This position oversees the Information Technology, Business Development, Planning and Allocation, and Accounting and Finance departments. This person will play a pivotal role in advancing our strategic vision, ensuring operational effectiveness, and fostering a culture centered on people, passion, and process.


  • Acts as a strategic partner on the leadership team and works closely with the team to ensure they are meeting performance expectations.
  • Analyze internal operations and identify areas of process enhancement
  • Develop actionable business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives developed in tandem with the CEO
  • Directly oversee operations, finance, and partner with the CEO on sales management to budget for sufficient investment capital to achieve growth targets
  • Aggressively manage capital investment and expenses to ensure the company achieves stakeholder targets relative to growth and profitability
  • Works collaboratively to develop and/or improve systems, processes, controls and procedures that improve the overall efficiency of the firm and insure excellent client service.
  • Maintain and build trusted relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving the organizational vision and operational strategy
  • Translate strategy into actionable goals for performance and growth helping to implement organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operating planning
  • Partners with CEO and executive team to build a highly inclusive culture ensuring team members thrive and organizational outcomes are me


  • Bachelor ‘s degree in business administration, or related field
  • 5+ years experience in executive leadership positions
  • Leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
  • Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues
  • A solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
  • Be able to identify problems quickly and have foresight into potential issues
  • Excellent communication skills, team oriented, strong positive leadership
  • Strong financial acumen with excellent analytical skills
  • Effective communicator adept at synthesizing data and complicated concepts into easily understood and actionable language
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
