Compliance Analyst II

Support research, analysis, & audit activities of the Compliance Team, including development and implementation of specialty audits as needed/warranted.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

· Assist and support existing audits.

· Develop/implement specialty audits as needed/warranted by business changes.

· Review policies to verify rating computations, endorsements, credits, and fees in support of company regulatory filings for multiple states, across all lines/products.

· Assist in performing regularly scheduled audits of policy files for compliance with filed underwriting rules, rates, and forms.

· Support agency-practices audits to confirm their compliance with state statutes and company underwriting requirements.

· Review claim files to verify response promptness meets/exceeds statutory requirements.

· Audit the non-renewal and cancellation of policies to verify compliance with regulations and filed rules.

· Prepare reports of all discrepancies found in the auditing process with recommendations for improvements to address deficiencies.

· Assist with federal and state reporting.

· Administer company OFAC compliance activities.

· Assist with processing agent and adjuster appointments, renewals and terminations.

· Assist with coordinating company responses to consumer complaints and maintaining company complaint logs.

· Assist with quarterly summary/tracking of company complaints to include trend analysis.

· Verify that underwriting processes established by company filings are followed when applications for insurance are being reviewed.

· Provide state compliance requirement expertise to THIG internal departments.

· Provide support and compliance expertise during product/program/system changes.

· Work with various Product Owners to ensure testing and implementation are successful, including developing and administering audits to identify and report any discrepancies after installation.

· Assist with development, coordination and execution of UAT testing plans to support system implementation changes.

· General administrative duties as assigned.




  • Associate of Arts degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college and one-year agency/insurance experience; or bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
  • Multi-state and/or commercial residential insurance experience a plus.
