Hardscape Foreman

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees hardscape operations on assigned shifts.
Prepares detailed work schedules to ensure efficient operations. Progress and issues from previous work
weeks to be documented on schedules.
Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment.
Communicates with clients in a professional and courteous manner and relay all relevant information to
management.
Installs all aspects of hardscape including but not limited to stone patios, stone driveways, stone retaining
walls, stone veneer concrete slabs and all decorative finishes for concrete
Reads landscape design prints and implements the landscape constructions plans in accordance with the
design intent and expectations of the company.
Troubleshoots issues that arise.
Notifies the landscape department of equipment problems.
Coordinates sub-contractors and equipment, including inspections.
Ensures that employees comply with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
Update equipment and truck logs and submit daily to fleet management; ensure paperwork is completed
and signed correctly including change orders.
Provides direct supervision to the crew; Liaison with the Landscape Manager on Human Resources
matters
Organize purchase orders for the procurement of supplies, machinery, tools, materials, and sub-
contractors
Operates proficiently a variety of mechanical equipment including bobcats, dingos, plate compactors
stone grinders, drills, gas and electric chop saws, demolition hammers and jack hammers; maintains
equipment in accordance with operating instructions and company policy.
Ensures jobs are completed to or under budget
Assists Landscape Manager in improving the skills and knowledge of staff by providing the necessary
training and coaching needed with an aim to developing a competent workforce.
Liaises with Irrigation and Landscape Managers to coordinate the Landscape and Irrigation / Lighting
works.
