Job Descriptionn nJob Number: n n IT Specialistn n We are looking for a hands-on, upbeat, resourceful Senior IT Specialist to support coworkers in all departments across the organization.

This is currently an individual contributor role, but has potential to become a managing position as the company grows.n n What You Get To Do Every Dayn n Provide Mac and Windows End User Support
– desktop and mobile to all our employeesn nManage all technology procurement, budget, and vendor relationshipsn nMonitor and troubleshoot Network, Systems, Servers, as events occur and manage them to resolutionn nEnsure the scalability, reliability, and performance of internal/corporate systems and networksn nCreate and maintain documentation for IT policies, including data security, data backup and retention, and acceptable usen nProvision and manage network and VPN, including all corporate IT systems
– primarily cloud-basedn nProvision and manage computer assets and phone systemn nStay abreast of the enforcement of and periodic updates to Corporate Security, ensuring the security of all IT systems against threats of theft or loss of customer datan nDefine and oversee software license management and compliance including asset tagging and inventoryn nPlan and ensure successful implementation of backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity systemsn nOversee the successful evaluation and testing of existing systems, and/or implementation of new systems for data security, cloud services, and endpoint managementn nDevelop and manage web-based tools and applications
– including intranet, and Slackn nMaintain inventory levels for Hardware Procurement and manage Asset Tracking n nServe are primary liaison for 3rd party vendors.n n What You Bring To The Rolen n 5+ years in IT in an internal customer supportn n4+ years of experience with Office 365, Atlassian products, and other productivity tools in a MAC environmentn nCompetency with cloud-based file management softwaren nHands-on experience with hardware and software troubleshooting, configuring corporate Network Management
– Routing, VLANS, L2/L3 Switch n nManagementn nKnowledge and experience with automation, BASH scripting, Powershelln nExposure to Ruckus Wireless Controller / APn nStrong understanding of and enforcement of security measures including anti-malware, software patch management and MDMn nProven experience with SSO
– Okta preferred, password policy, full-disk encryption and backupsn nExperience with IT Budgeting and planning, SaaS Ownership and Management and SaaS Cost Trackingn nProject Planning and hands on implementation for all IT initiativesn nKey technology experience to include Juniper Firewalls Management, Ubuntu and Active Directoryn nAbility to understand and adapt to rapidly changing priorities pivoting from one task to other project-based tasks as neededn nProactive, friendly and upbeat, you can get the job done with limited direction and a willingness to pitch in whenever and wherever neededn nExceptional communication skills both written and verbaln n About Nelson:nFor more than 45 years, we’ve been passionate about helping people find jobs they love
