Purpose of Jobn nUSAA Life Company is looking for an FSA or ASA Actuary ready for a new challenging role as a Life Actuary Associate in our Annuity Pricing area.

This role will involve pricing and modeling of immediate and deferred annuity products.

This position can be located in the San Antonio, Colorado Springs, Tampa, Phoenix Offices or 100% Remote Work Environment.n nCoordinates, prepares and performs actuarial analyses required to develop new products, project future results, reprice existing products, and/or determine financial strength.

– World Class Benefits (31 seconds)n nTasks:n n* Under minimal supervision, performs moderately complex to complex work assignments utilizing actuarial modeling software driven models for pricing, valuation, and/or risk management.n* Enters data and tables, runs models, and generates reports.n* May make adjustments and improvements to models, when appropriate.n* Resolves issues and navigates obstacles to deliver work product.n* Serves as a resource to less experienced team members on escalated issues of a routine nature.n* Serves as a key resource on projects involving cross functional actuarial areas.n* Lead smaller projects through concept, planning, execution, and implementation phases with minimal guidance.n* Produces reports independently, with great attention to detail.n* Identifies and resolves reporting problems independently.n* Improves reporting processes and controls.n* Maintains proper price level, price structure, data availability and other requirements to achieve profitability and competitive goals.n* Identifies critical experience areas to monitor and suggest timely remedies to correct or prevent unfavorable trends.n* Identifies sources of gain and loss by product and assumption.n* Tests impact of assumptions and the appropriate premiums, interest margins, reserves, and cash values for profitability and viability of new and existing products.n nMinimum Requirements:n n* Bachelor’s degree required OR 4 additional years of related experience beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.n* 2 or more years of relevant business or analytical experience.n* Attainment of Society of Actuaries Associateship OR 5 or more exams with attainment of ASA within specified timeframe.n* Successful completion of an analyst assessment may be required.n* Qualifications may warrant placement in a different job level*n nWhen you apply for this position, you will be required to answer some initial questions.

Once you begin the questions you will not be able to finish them at a later time and you will not be able to change your responses.n nPreferred Requirements:n n* Has had the designation of ASA (Associateship with the Society of Actuaries) for at least 3 years OR current FSA (Fellow of Society of Actuaries)n* Fixed Index Annuity experience a plusn* 2 or more years general Annuity Pricing Experiencen* Experience with Moody’s Analytics AXISTMn* Experience with automating manual processes using VBA or other Softwaren nCompensation:n nUSAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive.

You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market position.

The salary range for this position is: $80,200
