Job DescriptionThe Auto Club Group (ACG) provides membership, travel, insurance and financial services offerings to approximately 13.5 million members and customers across 14 states and 2 U.S.

territories through the AAA, Meemic and Fremont brands.

ACG belongs to the national AAA federation and is the second largest AAA club in North America.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Under direct supervision, review all information submitted on a residential mortgage loan application and gather missing information to complete the loan submission process.

Initiate and maintain contact with clients and Home Loan Originator throughout the processing period.

Ensure that all documentation is complete and meet all requirements.

Calculate debt-to income and loan-to-value ratios and assemble a completely documented loan file for submission to underwriting within established timeframes.

Submit loan through a desktop underwriting system (secondary market loan).

Meet all conditions required by the automated loan origination system and/or the home loan underwriter.

Prepare required loan disclosures in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Review underwriting conditions as they are received to ensure documentation meets secondary market loan requirements.

Handle routine to minimally complex tasks, files and assignments.

Use prescribed guidelines and procedures to resolve identify and resolve issues.

Escalate more advanced/complex items to senior-level staff or management as appropriate.

Work with mortgage loan officer to establish closing dates and meet standards for closing percentages of loans processed.

Perform final review of completed applications packages and prepare files for approval.

Alert underwriter to produce Decline/Withdrawal letters and assist underwriting with reason(s) for action.

Maintain necessary records to ensure compliance with HMDA reporting requirements and follow-up with title companies for receipt of recorded documents.

Contribute to departmental loan process flow.

Identify and suggest process workflow enhancements.

Work with supervisor to implement enhancements and integrate smoothly with other departments and systems within the company.

Preferred Qualifications:Education: Associate Degree in related fieldKnowledge of:Automated Underwriting and Loan Origination systems, particularly Encompass Experience:Extensive experience in processing conventional, FHA, VA and/or USDA loans.Processing second mortgages and home equity lines of credit Work Environment Works in a temperature controlled office environmentQualificationsRequired Qualifications: Education:High School Diploma or equivalentExperience: Two years of experience in/with residential mortgage lending of first mortgages sold on the secondary market in a Processor, Closer/Funder or Post Closer capacity to include the following:Processing conventional, FHA, VA and/or USDA loans in a Processor, Closer/Funder or Post Closer capacity Processing second mortgages and home equity lines of credit in a Processor, Closer/Funder or Post Closer capacity Working with and analyze pipeline reports to prioritize pipeline workflow ensuring timely completion of files Utilizing math concepts including fractions, ratios, statistics, etc.Processing ” In-house” firstand second mortgage loans as well as HELOC’s in a Processor, Closer/Funder or Post Closer capacity Working with underwriters and borrowers for resolution of underwriting issuesWorking with secondary market investors to ensure the timely purchase of loans that are soldDemonstrating sound understanding of General Ledger entries and account balancingAnalyzing mortgage loan credit package (income, assets, credit and collateral) Knowledge and Skills:Knowledge of:Mortgage loan products, services, pricing, tax and regulatory issuesMortgage loan processing and closing proceduresFCRA, ECOA, HMDA, REG Z as well as other state and federal consumer/lender regulations regarding the extension of creditGeneral Ledger entries and account balancing processes and techniquesDemonstrated skills in/with:Analyzing and problem solvingOrganization and planningPC software applications including Word and ExcelMaintaining accurate recordsAbility to: Professionally communicate with others in a work environment Adhere to mortgage loan processing and closing proceduresAssist in the development of loan processing process and proceduresWork effectively with Manager, IT and vendors in regard to the Loan Origination SystemComplete detailed tasks accurately and in a timely mannerPrioritize work properly to meet deadlinesWork well under pressureWork flexible hours including after hours and weekends The Auto Club Group offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including a base salary with performance based incentives; medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), generous time off, a complimentary AAA Membership and much more!Important Note: The above statements describe the principal and essential functions, but not all functions that may be inherent in the job.
