To accomplish this, the Radiology Nurse is required to assist in all aspects of the procedure except for the use of radiation producing equipment.

The Radiology Nurse is also responsible for the maintenance and security of the Department?s medication supply, monitoring of patients receiving conscious sedation, and keeping appropriate medical records relating to patient care.

The Radiology Nurse will actively communicate with physicians, nursing units, and family members concerning the patient?s well-being, exam status and care, and will perform appropriate patient teaching as needed.

The Radiology Nurse will actively communicate, cooperate with, and assist other nurses.

The Radiology Nurse?s patient care skills are subject to the policies and procedures of the hospital nursing service.

QualificationsCurrent license as a RNCurrent certification as a BLS Healthcare ProviderGraduate of an accredited school of professional nursing1+ Years of experience as a RN in Interventional Radiology, Critical Care, ER, PACU required.Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.

Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.West Florida Rehabilitation Instituteis the region?s only comprehensive physical rehabilitation facility offers specialized inpatient and outpatient services and treatment for stroke, joint replacement, and amputation as well as brain and spinal cord injury, arthritis, and other neurological or orthopedic conditions.

Our focus is getting you better faster and safely returning you to a life of maximum independence.Our facility recently underwent a $1 million renovation project that includes renovated patient rooms and state-of-the-art therapy equipment for stroke, brain, and spinal cord injury rehabilitation.

This equipment includes the area?s only Balance Master, Dynavision Visumonitor System, Interactive Metronome, the Walkaide System, the Electrical Stimulation Cycle for Arms and Legs, and the SureHands System.

We are the only rehabilitation facility in our community to have invested in these latest advances for rehabilitation therapy.West Florida Hospitalis a 515 bed facility and the only area hospital to earn an ” A” rating in patient safety on the Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade scale as well as the only Atrial Fibrillation Certified hospital.WFH has also been honored as a Truven Top 100 Hospital and just recently received their Joint Commission Sepsis accreditation.

Additionally, WFH was the area’s first Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI and Breast Imaging Center of Excellence.
