IT Computer Systems Manager, Senior Network/Computer Systems Developer Manager, Senior Eglin AFB, Florida Fort Walton Beach, Florida HX5 is an award-winning provider of engineering, research and development, and technical services to clients such as NASA and the Department of Defense. HX5 is currently seeking a IT Computer Systems Manager, Senior to join our team at Eglin AFB in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Day to Day Duties (include but not limited to): * Overarching focus is to assist the Government in planning and coordinating all phases of the acquisition, implementation, and integration of IT assets within the Armament Directorate in a proactive manner indicative of a level of service supporting of a “no-fail” mission. * Provide Government management sufficient information, through written documentation and oral briefings, to render informed judgments/decisions pertaining to project initiatives. * Collaborate with various key stakeholders both internal and external to the organization, and met with gather local requirements with the customers themselves. * Maintain Master Project Database, briefing platforms, and electronic project folders. * Create individual project schedules listing task dependencies, manage resources, track costs, work breakdown structures, and baseline these schedules to show, milestones, forecast, and actual metrics. * Assist/advise Government personnel with the development of Statements of Work/Objectives, the drafting of Purchase Requests, various possible courses of action, identifying questionable aspects of vendor proposals, and resolving problems/delays, adjusting schedules, and with the diverting of personnel/equipment and/or the reprioritizing of workloads to meet critical milestones. * Provide technical review of design, calculations, cost estimates, implementation dates, and specifications for negotiation and/or administration of contracts by Government personnel. * Attend/hold working group meetings concerned with individual projects, programs, future systems, plans, policy, specifications, and/or other requirements. * Prepare technical implementation plans that provide integrated solutions including actions, milestones, timelines and critical paths required for complete solutions.Capable of solving major problems in a narrow specialty field, or over a broad scope of specialties. * Exercise a high degree of originality and sound judgment in formulating, evaluating, and correlating broad management or engineering/scientific concepts as applicable, guiding the analysis of unique problems and developing new and improved techniques and methods. * Comfortable working on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performs all functional duties independently. * Perform work involving the exploration of subject area, definition of scope, and selection of system anomalies requiring further investigation. * Apply intensive knowledge to problems and makes independent decisions. * Knowledge of a wide range of telecommunications theories, concepts, principles, practices, procedures, DoD policies, standards, and operational requirements. * Assist with development, coordination, and implementation of short and long-term strategies, which plan for the reliable and secure operation, evolution, and growth of the automation hardware and software infrastructure as well as the life-cycle management of all system resources. * Meet and work with other Government, military, and civilian agencies (including other Government Contractors) for project planning and facilitation of IM requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Provide support and assistance in the development and management of acquisition program related network systems * Adhere to all applicable documentation requirements to perform certification of unclassified, classified and/or SAP network systems as applicable * Provide continuous client support and integration of the IM support staff throughout customer organizations * Assist with development, coordination, and implementation of short and long-term strategies, which plan for the reliable and secure operation, evolution, and growth of the automation hardware and software infrastructure as well as the life-cycle management of all system resources * Meet and work with other Government, military, and civilian agencies (including other Government Contractors) for project planning and facilitation of IM requirements. The Contractor shall not represent the Government at such meetings * Provide data management services to include optical scanning, file indexing and archiving, backup and document destruction * Perform scanning tasks for all program documents, to include the routine day-to-day operation of NT-based scanning and retrieval systems * Perform associated scanning tasks: preparing all documents for input (e.g., removal of document bindings, staples, etc.); scanning documents; bar-coding or manual data entry for indexing documents; performing quality control; reassembling the documents, returning them to either the original owner or to a storage site as determined by COR; and shredding close-out documents when necessary * Ensure periodic preventive maintenance is performed on the scanning system * Assist with the maintenance of functional and reliable telecommunication services for customer programs. Telecommunications support shall encompass phone (including classified Secure Telephone Unit/Secure Telephone Equipment/Voice over IP (STU III/STE/vIPer/SVOIP) phones), fax, voicemail, viewmail/viewfax, VTC and desktop VTC, and overhead projection services * Assist by researching, testing, evaluating, and implementing, as required, new technology to fulfill the current and future needs and expectations of the programs supported Education and Experience Requirements Must have one of the following combinations of experience and education: * Completed Bachelor’s degree in a relevant degree field, fifteen (15) years of relevant experience and IAT Level II certification (ex. Sec+, CySA+) * Completed Bachelor’s degree in a relevant degree field, thirteen (13) years of relevant experience and IAT Level III certification (ex. CASP+, CISSP) * Completed Master’s degree in a relevant degree field, thirteen (13) years of relevant experience and IAT Level II certification (ex. Sec+, CySA+) * Completed Master’s degree in a relevant degree field, eleven (11) years of relevant experience and IAT Level III certification (ex. CASP+, CISSP) Must be a US Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance by date of hire with a T5 investigation.
