Position Title: Manager Operations Fulfillment/Tech ServicesDepartment: OperationsLocation: Corporate Office Melbourne, FloridaReports to: Director of OperationsFLSA Status: ExemptPosition Summary:The Operations Manager is responsible for day-to-day operations of the Fulfillment and Tech Services (repair) departments. Daily delivery and repair targets are tracked and reported to the Director of Operations. Manages indirect spend categories, daily targets, quality goals, writes processes/procedures, directs labor to achieve targets and identifies ways to improve quality. This individual will have direct reports and is expected to drive individuals to achieve individual targets that roll up to the team goal. In addition, the Operations Manager will be expected to drive quality improvements using six sigma techniques.Essential Functions:* Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.* Manage individual contributors* Develop, implement, and manage procedures and processes used to repair in Tech Services and the assembly of kits in Fulfillment.* Manage inventory in Fulfillment, Tech Services, in process inventory, finished goods inventory and KANBAN locations.* Support the Director of Operations by providing leadership and direction to ensure that Medicomp’s mission and objectives are achieved.* Oversee daily operations of the company and the workflow of departments as set out by the Director of Operations.* Identify organization’s key performance indicators (KPIs), develop project plans to achieve goals, and monitor organization’s performance.* Hold weekly L10 meetings (Operational tracking and measurement targets)* Track quality numbers and failures as reported by QA and field; then, implement process changes to solve issues.* Anticipate operational needs and identify growth opportunities. Take the lead shepherding special projects and key initiatives.* Continually refine business model using a data-driven approach to gauge impact, monitor performance metrics and create efficiencies. Manage all facilities-related responsibilities, including existing offices, remote locations, and strategic space planning for continued growth.* In collaboration with Department heads, design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures.* Establish policies and procedures that promote Medicomp’s culture and vision.* Performs other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position oversees the Technical Services Department, Tech Services Procurement and, Technicians and Interns.Required Education and Experience* Minimum of 5+ years in operations, 2+ in a management role* Minimum 3+ years using KANBAN systems and Six Sigma techniques* Minimum 3+ years in process development and manufacturing engineering* Experience interacting with other business functions such as: Warehouse/Fulfillment, Call Center, HR, Finance, and Marketing* Must have experience working within an hourly technical employee, contract manufacturing and production/repair environment* Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business* 3+ years of experience in warehouse, assembly, inventory and/or repair depot* Experience with inventory management systems* Proactive, team-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to make decisions in the face of uncertainty* Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment* Experience in FDA or regulated industry* Strong Business Trend Analysis capabilities* Be a Bulldog on quality* Experience developing systems and workflows to support a growing organization* Experience leading a team of employees with demonstrated achievement of ambitious goals* Excellent organizational and communication skillsPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
