The Tallahassee Regional Director is responsible for the management and oversight of all waiver support coordinators serving the I10 corridor.

The primary function of the Regional Director is to administrative direction, strategic planning, and Case Management services.

The Regional Director should possess the qualities to manage, inspire, and develop the staff they supervise.

Knowledge of social, economic, health or rehabilitative services objectives are important, as is knowledge of compiling, organizing, and analyzing data.

A successful Regional Director will have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to plan and develop programs or program components, and the ability to prepare proposals and funding requests.

This person will be able to evaluate and monitor service delivery and implement corrective action plans, to provide technical assistance regarding program and client issues, and to determine work priorities and assign work while ensuring proper completion of work assignments.

Serves as the primary liaison for purposes of translating Division policy into regional practices.

Establishes a calendar of regularly scheduled meetings, to include at least a monthly status review.As invited, participates in project planning meetings, including the provision of input and direction on project activities prior to their implementation.Develops and implements a schedule of community and provider meetings in the region to ensure communication paths are established and maintained with providers, consumers, advocacy groups, and DD state partners at a minimum.Ensures an emergency contact system is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.Implements of continuing education and professional development program for staff.Implements a comprehensive orientation process, completed by staff within two (2) weeks of employment.Develops a performance appraisals system utilizing specific tasks and standards in the position description for positions in the Regional Office.Ensures the tracking of data, to provide status report to Division Regional Office.Ensures all components of service delivery and consumers records meet survey requirements.Always maintains confidentiality and integrity of the company, complying with HIPAA, APD, and Columbus’ policies.Performs related work as required.Creates new policies per accreditation and state requirements.Tallahassee Regional Director and team will support over 650 families with Developmental Disabilities.As the leading WSC company in the state, the Regional Director will be the advocate for a population in need and will have the resources available to help each individual achieve their own meaningful life goals.The regional team is passionate about their work and look towards their Regional Director to support them in this important work.Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services Field and at least two-year working with individuals with developmental disabilities.Interpersonal skills to provide effective leadership for subordinate personnel, to maintain a variety of internal and external contracts, and to interact effectively with administrators and state officials.Ability to develop their team by helping them achieve their own personal and professional goals.High level of initiative, self-direction and accountability for actions required.Skill in promoting multidisciplinary collaboration; ability to act as a facilitator and change agent required.Analytical ability to manage a budget, as well as resolution of complex operational and sensitive interpersonal issues.Performance of principle duties and responsibilities require the ability to travel if needed.Must have and maintain a valid state driver’s license, maintain automobile insurance coverage, and have access to an automobile.Two to three years of supervisory experience.#COORD
